SMS/Text message data: When you communicate with us via SMS or MMS, we collect your phone number, the content of your messages, and timestamps. This data is used solely to provide customer service, process your orders, and send relevant updates about your inquiries or purchases.

Automatically collected information: We collect standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs. This data is collected through cookies and similar technologies to improve our website and understand how visitors use it.

Delivery address data: When you use our delivery quote tool, your address is sent to Google Maps API to calculate distance and delivery cost. Google's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to: process container orders and deliveries, provide customer service and respond to inquiries via phone/email/SMS, send order confirmations and delivery status updates via text message, calculate delivery quotes, improve our website and services, and comply with legal obligations.

SMS Data Sharing Policy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer your phone number or SMS/MMS opt-in data to any outside parties for their own use.

Your phone number and message content are shared only with service providers who are essential to delivering our messaging service (such as our SMS platform provider, Twilio). These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing the messaging service on our behalf.

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Twilio: Provides our SMS/MMS messaging infrastructure. Twilio processes your phone number and message content to deliver text messages on our behalf. Twilio's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

Stripe: Processes credit card and online payments. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment information. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

Google Maps API: Calculates delivery distances. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of address data.

Supabase: Hosts our database infrastructure where order and customer data is stored securely.

Vercel: Hosts our website and processes API requests.

Resend: Sends transactional emails such as order invoices and confirmations.

Consent for SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in to receive text messages from SC Express — whether through our website contact form, by texting us first, or by verbal/written consent during a transaction — you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from us related to your inquiry or order.

You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, we will send one final confirmation message and no further texts unless you re-initiate contact. Reply HELP for assistance.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any products or services from SC Express.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database hosting, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
